Latest generation of bioactive and biocompatible root canal sealer based on high purity tricalcium silicate. This innovative filling material allows a permanent obturation of the root canal without the need for a thermal gutta-percha technique or lateral cold condensation. Thanks to its physical-mechanical anchorage in the dentinal tubuli, it allows a single cone cold technique for possible retreatment of the canal.
BioRoot® provides an optimal seal with high resistance to microleakage. Dentine mineralisation creates and stimulates the formation of hydroxyapatite. BioRoot® has unique antimicrobial properties due to its high pH (>11) and the release of calcium hydroxide, preventing bacterial growth. Thanks to its bioactivity it stimulates bone regeneration and periapical healing.
BioRoot® is available in powder and liquid form, with a working time of more than 10 minutes and a setting time of less than 4 hours. Thanks to its radiopacity of 5mm Al. it provides optimal radiographic tracking.
