CLINPRO SYRINGES KIT -12636-
3M™ ESPE™ Clinpro™ Sealant is a low-viscosity, light-curing, fluoride-releasing sealant with exclusive, patented colour-change technology.
When first applied to the tooth surface, Clinpro™ Sealant is pink, curing to opaque white as it is exposed to light. The pink colour helps the dentist with precision and to decide the amount of material applied during the sealing process.
- Colour-change technology reveals the exact placement.
- Contains and releases fluoride.
- Long-lasting protection against caries.
FEATURES
Easy to use - easy to check.
- Comfortable, direct applicator syringe for simple application.
- Low viscosity ensures it flows easily.
- Bonds to enamel.
INDICATIONS
Prevents early caries in enamel and fissures.
Studies confirm that sealants are considerably more effective than fluoridation. Young people with fissure sealants have been found to have DMF values 50% lower than those without sealants. The DMF (decayed, missing, filled) index measures the severity and consequences of caries.
For perfect results:
- Teeth should be sufficiently erupted to allow for the creation and maintenance of a dry zone. Pits and fissures should be deep. - The colour change is not an indication of complete curing. The recommended curing time (20 seconds) should be followed.
STEP BY STEP
1. Select the tooth to be treated and ensure that it is sufficiently erupted.
2. Clean the enamel (either mechanically or using air polish), remove plaque and residues, then rinse with water. Do not use cleaning agents that contain oil or sodium bicarbonate.
3. Isolate the tooth, ideally using a rubber dam, and dry it. Cotton rolls with isolation barriers may also be used.
4. Etch the enamel for at least 15 seconds and at most 60 seconds.
5. Rinse well with water.
6. Dry well with air: etched surfaces should appear matte white when dry.
7. Using the syringe, carefully inject Clinpro™ Sealant into the pits and fissures.
8. Cure Clinpro™ Sealant using light for 20 seconds. Place the light source as close to the sealant as possible, but without touching it.
9. When Clinpro™ Sealant dries it forms a hard, opaque slightly yellow film.
10. Evaluate the results: the sealing film should completely cover the tooth without any gaps.
11. Use cotton to clean off any sticky residue. Check the occlusion and adjust as required.
