30 days return guaranteeSpeedex® is the first C-silicone material with snap set and A-silicone qualities. A new DCP formulation (Dimension-Controlling Precondensate, developed by and exclusive to Coltene) gives a highly elastic, dimensionally stable material with high precision. Unlike other C-silicones, models can be cast up to seven days after impression taking. In conventional C-silicones shrinkage is produced by the evaporation of some compounds, such as alcohol, during setting. Speedex®’s exclusive DCP formula considerably reduces alcohol loss by transferring part of the ester interchange reaction to the manufacturing process. This “precondensation” process means that impressions taken with Speedex® maintain their dimensional stability for days. Time-saving: Thermosensitive technology. The Speedex® formula incorporates thermosensitive elements which react rapidly to the temperature difference between the the external environment and the mouth. The resulting “snap set” increases patient comfort and guarantees a perfect impression. You can choose the setting time to suit your technique by adjusting the amount of activator used and Speedex® will provide an almost instantaneous snap set. The Speedex® activator is used for both the Putty and Light Body. The surfactant molecules in Speedex® Light Body migrate to the surface so they may be in contact with moisture. This process reduces the contact angle and produces a greater reproduction of details in both the impression and the model.
