SWIVEL KEY WITH ACTIVATION TURN COUNTER
Orthopaedic expansion to correct maxillary transverse deficiency is becoming more of an elective therapy due to extensive scientific and clinical evidence regarding this treatment. Although the exact protocol varies from one author to the next, rapid palatal expansion is based on a protocol requiring daily endoral activations, which must be performed by the patient or, more commonly, by the parents of younger patients. The new key is characterised by a click sound that allows the user to control the number of expander activation turns in the oral cavity. A counter on the back of the handle enables easy activation turn control by the patient.
